The exterior surface is adorned with this gorgeous, PATENTED Basketweave Pattern - completely covering all but the rim and bottom - where the manufacturer's information is prone-molded. The rim is generous and rolls-over slightly for a good & secure grasp. This Mixing-Bowl measures - ~7 - 7 1/8" across the top edge in diameter; 3 - 3 1/8" in height; 3 1/4" across the base rim. The Crystal-Clear glass has a slight greenish cast or tinge to it - a function of the production run - not coloured glass. Interior surfaces are smooth; exterior surfaces have the prone-molded basketweave texture. SOME INTERESTING INFORMATION – Basketweave Pattern - This embossed Basketweave pattern was produced in the ~ late 1990's to 2000's & onward - by the lower case "pyrex"; description in imperial + metric; and the handles being angled and not completely across. There are very few offered for sale at any time & little information on this textured pattern. Coloured pyrex was offered as late as the early 2000s, having this embossed, basketweave pattern. Also, Opal-White Product Line was phased out ~ 1986 and onward ... coloured, clear-bottomed bowls (Designs Line) began to appear in ~1986 , with a similar embossed, concentric-ring pattern on their bases as well. These MIXING-BOWLS were typically available as 300-Series 3-piece (322, 323, 325) or 400-Series 4-piece (322, 323, 325, 326) sets (no 324 exists). It was made of borosilicate glass. World Kitchen LLC “spun-off” of Corning in 1998 and licensed the Pyrex brand in lower case "pyrex". THIS Pyrex was made of less-costly soda-lime glass. So, currently, Pyrex made in the US (N America) is made of soda-lime glass but elsewhere it is made of the costlier borosilicate glass. PYREX Designs Product Line – GREAT items to collect!!
