Casserole Dish with Lid. Pyroceram material(1958)was discovered from military use and was initially used for ballistic nose missiles. These dishes were produced to withstand very high temperatures and go directly from the freezer when the original lids were used. Pyrex glass lids were then used and they are not capable of withstanding extreme temperature changes. This bowl is in Very Good Used Condition, and was produced 1969-1972, roughly 10 yrs after the first corning bowls were produced. Minor scratches or imperfections as shown.
