Description

This vintage Corning Ware covered cookware set includes a 2.5-quart casserole dish with a blue cornflower pattern and a matching lid. The dish is made of durable glass and is oven, freezer, and dishwasher safe. It has a glossy finish and is perfect for all occasions.The set was manufactured in the mid-20th century in the United States and has a classic Corning Ware style. The backstamp is printed and the production technique is fused glass. The item weighs 4 pounds and 3 ounces with the lid and is 10.25" across with handles and 8.5" without handles in length. This original vintage piece is a must-have for any collector or lover of mid-century decorative cookware. The bottom is stamped Corning Ware 2 1/2 qt and P-2 1/2-B, Made in USA. This is one of the earlier pieces with the flame mark. There is very little wear so wasn't used much at all. There are a couple teeny spots on one handle as shown where the white glaze did not completely cover. These are NOT chips!! The lid is marked P-9-C-1 with a 34 on the other side.
